Eagle & Child Pub at The Royalist Hotel

Connected to the hotel is our equally historic pub, with it’s beamed ceilings and stone flagged floors, the Eagle & Child is one of the most popular pubs in Stow-on-the-Wold.

 

 

Legend has it the pub was a venue used for cock fighting and bear baiting, but today we offer a more civilised atmosphere with an enticing selection of traditional pub food, served either in the pub itself or in our large conservatory.

 

Offering a more informal dining experience than the 947AD Restaurant, the quality of our food is certainly not compromised. As with the restaurant, the majority of the ingredients for the pub’s dishes are sourced locally within 20 miles of the hotel, plus you can sample a pint of one of our local brews, such as Hooky Bitter or Festival Gold Ale.
